Before you store your warm-weather staples, consider re-working your summer favorites for fall and winter. Below are a few ideas for wearing your favorite pieces year-round.
Slip Dress: It’s easy to wear your light-weight slip and sun dresses when the temperatures drop. Layer long cardigans, denim jackets, fur vests, leggings or tights, and chunky boots to stay warm while still enjoying the flirty flounce of your favorite airy dress. In particular, the mix in texture here (fur, denim, rayon, and leather) can add interest to your look…maybe even a better outfit than a simple pairing with sandals?!

White Jeans: Your crisp white jeans need not be relegated to storage during the winter months. These pair just as easily with fall’s chunky sweaters and booties, while brightening fall and winter’s jewel tones as well adding variety to the constant black and grey rotation.
Suede Booties | Check Sweater | Chambray Shirt | Fedora
Lace Shorts: Shorts can be so chic worn layered over an opaque tight or sheer hosiery (a la the 90’s). Make these lace shorts evening-worth by tucking in a silk blouse and adding heeled booties. Finally, up the glam with a statement necklace worn over the buttoned-up shirt. For a special touch, wear with lux outerwear – think fur or leather detailing.
