We’re back…and with more fitness inspo for your holiday travels home. If you didn’t catch us earlier, my blogging pals, Angie and Kirsty, have partnered with me to share some quick fitness moves that you can easily find time and space to do anywhere you may be traveling this holiday season (see our playground workout from last month). This time we are sharing 5 simple exercises you can execute even while staying with your folks in your childhood bedroom.
We have Angie to “blame” (ok, thank) for lending her fitness expertise to provide us with safe and effective moves…and witty commentary. Kirsty and I both enjoy a good workout, and being directed with instruction on proper form. And, all three of us advocate for self-care, particularly this time of year when everyone can be stressed with end-of-year commitments and holiday madness. I, for one, find December to be completely overwhelming with holiday traditions to execute (surely I’m not alone in feeling the pressure from this one…where is that elft?!), gifts to buy and coordinate for the kids, Christmas cards to order (and send!), not-to-mention, the baking, cooking…oh, and the annual calendar (why don’t I start this one earlier??). My heart is racing already.
I digress. 5 simple moves to keep your sanity and waistline in check. You work too hard throughout the year to lose it all in the final month! And you can do this at home…so, what’s your excuse?
Side Lunge & Twist
Mountain Climb Away From Your Past
Ol’ College Try-cep Dips
I would be remiss not to mention our fabulous workout gear. Because what motivates a stylish soul more than a cute outfit, even if you are planning a serious sweat sesh in your cute attire?? And you can accomplish both the style and sweat in these Zella threads. In particular, I love the attention to detail – the red zipper on Angie’s leggings and the multi cross-back of Kirsty’s tank. My sweatshirt has been on serious rotation – perfect for après workout or running those holiday errands.
Skip on over to Angie’s blog for more details (including how to execute these simple moves with correct form). And stay tuned as we plan to share more fun (sometimes silly) workout inspiration throughout the month.
This post was done in collaboration with Zella. As always, all content and opinions are my own.
