Recently I had the pleasure of taking a sneak peak (and a quick try-on sesh) with Buki’s latest spring arrivals. Since then, I have been patiently biding my time to share with you my favorite pieces from their latest endeavor…and patiently waiting for them to arrive in my closet as well! Well, the wait is finally over as a several new spring pieces can now be found both in their Seattle Pop-Up store on 6th Avenue and online.
As you may recall from my introduction last fall to this new luxe, ready-to-wear brand; Buki combines technologically advanced fabric technology with sophisticated tailoring to create a truly beautiful and wearable collection. Buki’s philosophy is a “Wardrobe Revolution” with fundamentally classic pieces in breathable, washable, comfortable knits to fit with our busy lifestyles. With a “less is more” approach, their line is easily combined in a multitude of ways due to the line’s timeless silhouettes and a neutral color pallet.
Buki’s spring updates include on-trend warm weather staples like this off-the-shoulder blouse and a classic knit dress, which is styled by my favorite fashionista, Kirsty. The cold shoulder look is such an easy way to show more skin in a subtle and comfortable way (just don’t forget that strapless bra!). This Buki blouse is a particular gem as it doesn’t ride up (constantly adjusting an off-the-shoulder blouse is annoying) – I believe this to be because the elastic is only around the arms. It also can be worn more on the shoulder, which is easy when layering under a light jacket, or pulled down to reveal your entire décolletage. Combined with the subtle bell sleeves, this top is the quintessential spring update to your wardrobe!
