The 80’s have called, but I’m keeping my pants. The irony is not lost on me; this “Miami Vice” look styled on a blustery Seattle fall morning! However, the arctic wind and sheets of rain won’t keep me from styling my new favorite pants.
I picked up these “statement pants” earlier this fall and I’ve worn them with both heels and these loafers on various occasions. The key with a high-waisted pant is to tuck, always tuck. If the shirt were left out, the overall volume would be overwhelming and look sloppy. A shorter (dare I say, cropped?) top would achieve the same effect. But, especially with the oversized blazer, it’s important to emphasize your waistline and add a little feminine flair too!I would be remiss to not mention these loafers. Not your ordinarily black loafer; I love the pointed toe (not too pointy to be uncomfortable), the unique shape, and, of course, the subtle 1″ wedge! Kelsi Dagger is one of my go-to shoe brands for an edgy-twist on classic styles. Their well-made shoes are always sure to add a unique exclamation point to any outfit.
