Oh, the freedom of a wide leg pant! I instantly feel taller, sleeker, and ready to conquer the world when I’m strutting out the door in this flowing silhouette.
However, not all wide leg pants are created equal. A high rise is a must in order to create the illusion of endlessly long gams. Also, just the right amount of volume is critical. Too much can overwhelm you, particularly if you are on the petite side. And the length, nearly grazing the ground will maximize the length of your leg (making you appear taller and leaner).
Buki has done it again creating just the perfect wide-leg pant. Slim and fitted at the waist and top of the hip, yet gracefully flowing away from the upper thigh into the ideal size wide leg. And made from Buki’s technologically advanced, breathable (and machine washable) fabric, this pant is summer’s perfect staple. Ideal for travel (did I mention wrinkle-free?) and easy for simply lounging, I’m planning to pair these with a stacked heel or wedge sandal and a tank all summer long.
When wearing wide leg pants, don’t forget to play with proportions. Tucking in a top or wearing a shirt that ends at the top of your hip will show off your waist and off-set the flowy nature of the pant.
Style 101:
- wide pants + fitted top = chic
- skinny pants + flowy blouse = stylish
- wide pant + flowy blouse = frump (unless you’re a super model).
