…and it’s the “best thing I’ve bought this week.” In addition to this cherry-pink color lipstick from Charlotte Tilbury. So, I guess that’s 2 best things!
This style of dress is totally out of my comfort zone, as I usually opt for more roomy, forgiving pieces for daywear. Also, living in the “land of skinny jeans” for several years now, I’m more accustomed to wearing longer, more flowy tops, which balance the proportions of a slim pant. However, with the increasing popularity of flares or wid-leg pants (not-to-mention my love for them?!), more fitted tops and body-con styles are back in vogue.
Thus , I gave this style of dress a chance…and I couldn’t be more pleased! Thick enough to provide both comfort and coverage, with just the right amount of stretch – and so versatile too! Pair with heels for a date night-worthy look or easy to wear with flat sandals for brunch (or school pick-up). And you’ll notice I’m applying the same principal of proportions here by pairing the fitted dress with an oversized denim jacket. A more fitted topper or something more cropped would likely highlight more curves than I would feel comfortable with.
