Hard to believe, but the holidays are nearly upon us. Aside from all of the shopping, decorating, cooking, and eating that comes with this time of year, most important is the entertaining – spending time with friends and family. And what better occasion to wear something that makes you feel fabulous? Below I’m sharing three holiday looks for different types of occasions.
Meeting Friends for Dinner
Making time for friends is always a special occasion; particularly during the holiday season, strike a festive note by adding some rich colors and special details. For example, the burgundy hue and waxed texture of the pant take your standard jeans up several notches. And, the lace detailing of the top makes the outfit more dressy. Finally, the addition of some stand-out gold jewelry creates an ensemble worthy of a special occasion.

Work Function
Meeting your team for drinks after work, or celebrating in the office? Start with your standard 9-5 wear and, with a few special additions, you’ll be ready to toast a glass of champagne (or punch). It’s easy to swap your pumps for a special pair of peep-toe booties in lux suede, then add some statement earrings and a leopard-print clutch to take your look from cubicle to happy hour (even if it’s in a conference room!).

Holiday Party
Now is the time of the year to stand-out – add shine with sequins, beading or embroidery. A holiday party is the perfect occasion for this silver, tweed-like textured, fit and flare dress. Metallic extras don’t distract from the dress; however, add a punch of color with a bold shoe. Tis’ the season!

And then MAGIC happened! I have the chills. Amazing post, great inspiration, you tied in a local boutique, they can refer you out, etc. So unbelievably proud of you. Nailed it! I need the black skirt and have to figure out how to wear a top with it that doesn’t make it look like my body is made of just boobs.
SUPER FUN!
What are some of your next posts? I don’t want to be a part, but could help you brainstorm gift ideas for Dad, Papa, Mom, Nana, etc.
