Could it be…spring in Seattle?? Key to spring dressing is layering (this is also key for summer dressing here). For this reason, I love my light-weight jackets. When outdoors, I pair a light jacket with a scarf for added warmth. Once inside, I simply push up the sleeves and leave it open. Rolling the sleeves, unbuttoning and ensuring that the jacket compliments your outfit, all make your look intentional, rather than you-kept-your-coat-on-when-indoors.
Aside from the aforementioned function of a jacket, it also adds interest to a simple outfit. Such as here, where I’ve paired my new blush, pleather jacket with a basic white tee and black skinnies – not too simple, the jeans do have an awesome jacquard texture.

Below are a few jackets that I am coveting. In addition to leather (and pleather) remaining in style, these are a few key trends for spring: 1) military styling 2) anorak 3) denim and 4) bomber

Here’s to hoping the spring sunshine continues! Thanks for reading.
