When styling clients, many are interested yet have questions about how to style track pants. This post is dedicated to the how, where and when in an effort to demonstrate the versatility of this comfy and chic pant.
Track pants shouldn’t be relegated to strictly off-duty wear. As you can see above, pair with a more structured jacket (such as a blazer), add a polished pump, and these pants can easily become part of the 9-5 rotation. Just be sure to tuck in your top to define your waist; otherwise, you could appear to be wearing a shapeless pajama pant. Also, keep the rest of your outfit polished in an effort to offset the casual potential of the pants. Here I’ve added a classic, structured bag and suede pumps.
Track pants are also a great alternative to denim when going out. Create a “jumpsuit-like” look by tucking in a tank; then add jewelry and again wear some heels for height – ensuring that your look reads “after hours” rather than “bedroom hours.”
As I’ve started to document more of my outfits; I’ve come to a realization…I wear a lot of black and white! I guess there’s nothing wrong with a signature look.
I would love to learn how you are wearing your track pants this fall. Also, feel free to leave a comment with any styling questions. As always, thanks for reading! ~Jenn
