I’ve just finished my annual spring closet clean. Nothing sheds more light on what you have (and what you actually wear) than trying everything on once and awhile. I suggest doing this twice a year (once in the spring and again in the fall). This way you can make fresh what you’re excited to wear and pass on the items you aren’t reaching for. It also inspires me to wear the clothes already in my closet rather than being tempted to buy new pieces. This outfit is a tribute to keeping the “old” in rotation and feeling inspired with what I already have!
A great way to update your wardrobe is by adding new accessories. Accessories are also an easy way to experiment with trends without spending a lot or committing to a major change. For example, choker necklaces are back in a big way this spring and summer. And, adding a jeweled necklace is an easy way to elevate even the most simple of outfits.
Culottes…I’m still a huge fan. They’re a great denim alternative as the temperatures rise this summer. Unlike their cousin, the skinny jean, these are nice and airy. And, this particular pair, is the softest of fabric. A good purchase that I have continued to reach for a year later. Not to fear, this pair is still around and on major sale (I’ve linked below)!
