Hanging out with one of my best friends makes blogging all the better (and photo shoots tolerable). Probably what I enjoy most about working with Kirsty is that neither of us take ourselves too seriously. I mean, who else could I romp around Seattle with wearing nearly matching outfits and dodging passing cars, all for the sake of some outfit pics?!
For this very reason, I love the sneaker and dress outfit pairing. The addition of a sneaker (rather than a cute sandal or heel) makes your dress seem like you’re not trying too hard…I mean, you’re that cool. You’re a down-to-earth girl out for a good time. At least, that’s how I would describe myself. Although, I did read somewhere that everyone describes themselves as being low maintenance. I certainly don’t with regards to fashion…I digress.
If you’re just getting caught up, Kirsty and I have been having a blast styling Brooks’ latest addition to their Heritage Collection of vintage-inspired sneakers, the ‘Renshaw’ court shoe. Throughout the week, we’ve paired these classic, white kicks with a variety of skirts and dresses. We’re proving, once again, that a sneaker can (and should) be worn with just about anything!
Be sure to check-out our previous posts for all of our outfit details (Kirsty 1, Kirsty 2 and Jenn 1, Jenn 2). And, on a side note, did you know that Kirsty is also a talented jewelry designer? All of the tassel earrings worn throughout these photos are handmade by her! If you’re local to Seattle, you can find these gems in her shop, Queen Anne Frame. Send her a message, I’m sure she’d happily ship a pair too!Thank you for reading! As you can probably tell, we have a blast posting. I write this blog to offer style inspiration and, sometimes, impart small pearls of wisdom. It’s Friday; have some fun, make time for those people in your life that bring you joy, and don’t take yourself too seriously. Oh, and buy the sneakers! ~Jenn (and Kirsty too)
Photos thanks our fun partner in crime (and talented photographer) Natalia.
