My summer wardrobe is nearly twice the size of my fall and winter one! I know, hard to believe, right?? I think it’s because you can find great stylish yet inexpensive pieces during the warmer months of spring and summer. It’s also so much more fun to play with patterns and colors when you’re not investing a lot.
This entire ensemble is an ode to looking stylish on a budget…chic on the cheap. Especially during the golden months of summer, you have better things to spend your money on like cocktails on the lanai, or that fabulous beach vacation you’ve been looking forward to all year, or a really great pair of “investment” sunglasses.
While slightly on the mu-mu spectrum, this dress is fabulous for those hot summer days. Nothing clingy, stifling, or restrictive about this number. Be forewarned; however, with such a small price tag ($20!!), it doesn’t come lined (what can you expect?). I’m wearing a tank and pair of boy shorts under, but it may be worth finding a black slip – if you’re more modest…or want to walk in the sunshine! I’ve linked a few undergarment options below.
{outfit details}
dress: H&M
sandals: Dolce Vita for Target
purse: Shaffer LA
glasses: Karen Walker from Ditto (sunglass rental – genius!)
earrings: Lucia K. Jewelry
bracelet: Gorjana
undergarments (tank): Free People (slip): Mimi Chica
Can you believe that my dress and sandals together cost less than $45?! It can be done; while looking totally luxe and stylish! Hope you are enjoying some late spring sunshine too. As always, thanks for reading! ~Jenn
Linking up for “What I Wore Wednesday”…it’s actually a thing.
