Last week I had the honor of co-hosting a spring fashion show at Neiman Marcus featuring contemporary brands from their CUSP department. It was so fun to share my excitement for spring fashion and introduce several of my favorite trends and must-have items. Not to mention, I had a blast with JJ, the manager of CUSP, and my fellow co-hosts Kirsty, Carolyn of Hey Pretty Thing, and Molly of Molly’s Musings. And Neiman’s knows how to throw a good party!
My friend and fellow blogger, Dawn of Party Til Dawn…obviously we’re loving black and white flare sleeves! Mine is Alice + Olivia.

‘My Signature Style’ was my first look. What’s not to love about a classic navy and white stripe for spring? Add a white jean in this season’s must-have cropped, flare silhouette, and a punch of color with a pom pom backpack and your wardrobe is ready for warming temps. Also, would this be my signature look without a pair of sneakers?! And these embroidered Ash sneakers could be worn with literally everything in your closet! Finally, I layered a more cropped sweater over a longer shirt with contrasting vertical stripes in a similar color palette. Often women fear the more cropped lengths that seem to reappear each season as the sun nears the earth. Layering is a great way to wear more cropped tops yet feel comfortable and stylish.

‘Shirting Reimagined’ was my second look. The off-the-shoulder trend continues to be popular this season but there are also so many new silhouettes that play off this theme (one shoulder, halter, creative shirting detailing and tying). Here I’m styling a two-piece dress by layering an additional off-the-shoulder white poplin shirt in between the two pieces (the dress is a slip dress with a sleeveless button-down shirt over). The sleeveless top, which ties in the back, then becomes more like a vest in this outfit. I love the versatility of these 3 pieces – worn together as here, or worn multiple ways separately. Such a wise investment!

‘Desk to Dinner’ For my third look, I demonstrated that a simple change of accessories can take you from work to after-hours drinks. As evidenced in this outfit, you don’t need to change up your entire professional wardrobe with the changing of the season. Classic black pants can be paired with a busy floral print blouse, topped with a neutral boucle jacket and finished with spring’s favorite shoe: the mule. Simply adding some florals and neutrals to your go-to look can entirely change your outfit.

For an after-hours look, there’s no need to head into the restroom for an outfit change! I added a bomber jacket with this season’s hottest trend: playful embroidery. With a quick shoe change into these show-stopping colorful mules and swap your tote for a lucite clutch; you’re ready for an evening out! Outside of the office is a perfect time to play with more whimsical trends and allow your personality to show, as this is an opportunity to really go big but still be appropriate (especially if drinks are with colleagues).

I even got to giveaway a Rebecca Minkoff bag to one lucky attendee!
Seattle style bloggers always make an event more fun!
Thank you for reading! And a special ‘thank you’ to Neiman Marcus for allowing me this opportunity and for hosting such a fabulous event. ~Jenn
