I mourn the inevitable end of summer this time of year. It’s still warm, but fall is definitely on it’s way – the light feels different and the leaves seem to be turning (is it just my imagination??) However, in good news, this summer’s trend of everything ’70’s continues going strong into fall fashion. And with it, these flare jeans.
First discovered when posting on the blog, I thought to give this flare style a try (and at $80, it was worth the risk!). I couldn’t be happier with Gap’s new resolution fit – I’ve barely taken these off since I brought them home and they haven’t lost their shape! However, you may want to size up (I did), as they are definitely cut slim through the thigh.
And remember, two rules to live by on styling flares…1) highlight your waist (tuck or wear a more cropped top to bring the eye to your more narrow part) and 2) add height (wedges or a chunky heel are the perfect pairing with flare pants).
