I must admit, I’m a jeans and tee kinda gal. But, on the rare occasion that I need something other than denim, a solid trouser is my go-to choice for feeling confident and effortlessly put-together. So you better believe that when I spotted these trousers with the sporty side stripe on several of my favorite fashionistas, I had to seek them out! And yes, I get inspiration from other fashion bloggers – imitation is the sincerest from of flattery, after all!
I love a casual tee paired with dressy pants, and adding a blazer makes the outfit both work and play appropriate. Now…not any blazer, but a velvet blazer! I’m so pleased that velvet is back en vogue this fall and winter. I still wear my classic black velvet Theory blazer that we one of my first designer scores, purchased probably 10 years ago now! The luster of the velvet makes this navy one almost look iridescent – perfect for both a special occasion and an ordinary day at the office.
