Getting tired of denim on the daily? Or are you a slave to your work uniform? Get out of your rut with these 4 updates to your tried-and-true trouser…just in time for spring.
Wide-Leg: If you read Wednesday’s post, you understand my obsession with wide-leg trousers. Wear a more fitted top, either tucked-in or cropped to balance the voluminous silhouette of the pant. Also, pair with a chunky wedge or heel to add height; giving the illusion of super model-length legs.
Paperbag: Gathered, with a high-waist these pants are meant to highlight a slim waistline (your waist is likely higher than you would imagine). Again tucking or wearing a shorter top that meets the waist of the pant will compliment this style. This pant is easy to wear both casually, paired with gladiator sandals, or dressed-up with a blazer and heels.
Culottes: The perfect blend of wide-leg pants in a cropped length, this style continues to be a spring and summer favorite! Again, balance the volume with a more fitted top and pair with a heel to give height and flatter your exposed leg-line. The wider, the better – I love the ones that give that look like they could be a skirt.
Track Pants: Joggers…whatever you call them, these silky pants that gather at the ankle continue to be a favorite trend. A dressy alternative to sweats when paired with sneakers, or street-style cool with a moto jacket and pumps, these pants are a wardrobe workhorse (and staple!)
