Is your spring wardrobe mocking you as it hangs in your closet?? Or have you already scored a couple of spring updates that you’re dying to wear? Layering is a simple solution that allows you to don your spring clothes even if the weather isn’t agreeing with your outfit choices.
A couple of things to consider when layering:
- Avoid bulking items. Instead choose light and form fitting pieces for your base layer. For example, this turtleneck is a bit too clingy for my preference when worn alone; however, it’s perfect under this dress and sweaters.
- Consider your fabrics. Opt for light fabrics in synthetic blends that glide easily over each other and your body. Knits and cotton can cling to each other, you want to avoid this as it creates excess bulk and annoying adjustments.
- Contrast yet compliment. Select patterns and necklines that are obviously different but also compliment one another.
Hope you are enjoying a fantastic weekend! Thanks for reading. ~Jenn
