I’m lovin’ the return of bright, bold primary colors this winter. A pop of color does wonders for cheering up your outfits and, I would be the first to argue, your mood. Cherry red, bright, Kelly green, sunshine yellow, and electric, royal blue are all gracing store racks this season. And, perfectly paired with all of those dark neutrals (like black and grey), you are sure to stand out in a crowd.
Particularly as a fair-skinned, blonde, these brights interject color and brighten my complexion. This time of year in particular, I find that dark neutrals (like black) tend to be too much of a contrast against my sun-deprived skin. Meanwhile lighter neutrals, like camel or light grey, can wash me out. In addition to brightening your outfit, choose a primary color that compliments your coloring. A sweater is definitely an easy option but skirts, dresses, and even shoes are a great way to interject some color into your winter wardrobe!
Other electric blue pieces I’m lovin’:
