This moment was captured by our photographer when she suggested that Kirsty and I hold hands. While you may not catch us linking arms to skip down the sidewalk, you can bet we’ll be doing a Russian-style Cossack dance when trying on fur hats! And, more often than not, you’ll find us wearing the same thing. This is how we started “4-Way Friday.”
Back when we were blogging newbies and actually “just” friends (and yes, we’re friends in real life), we realized that we would fall in love with and purchase the same pieces, yet our styles are very different. In fact, we often show up wearing the same piece but styled in a very different way. How we style an item can be so different that, often times, only we know that we’re wearing the same thing!
Kirsty and I also believe that in the world of online shopping, with access to many fast-fashion sites, and with the proliferation of style blogs, there is an unrealistic expectation of “one and done” fashion that is being perpetuated. In actuality, we carefully consider our wardrobe purchases and wear our clothes and accessories time and again and in many different combinations. Thus, “4-Way Friday” is an opportunity for us to inspire versatility in the items you choose to add to your wardrobe and to demonstrate how two women with differing aesthetics can style the same piece. We are also women friends that don’t subscribe to the cliché that girls should hold hands…

As we’ve been posting all week, Kirsty and I can’t get enough of our new TAH ‘everyday’ belt/crossbody bags. Here you see Kirsty wearing hers as a belt and I’ve changed the strap to wear mine as a crossbody instead. I love the simple, classic design of this bag – it seemingly compliments most every look, yet it’s an outfit standout. Because of the bag’s versatility, it’s sure to be a piece that you can wear and style in multiple ways…and wear to the same occasion as your friend and no one may be the wiser!

Thank you for reading. Thankfully it’s Friday. Have a great weekend! ~Jenn
