This is the time of year that I change from searching for fancy frocks and sparkling party accessories to down parkas and sensible (read: warm, waterproof, and durable) footwear. Below you will find the results of my snow boot search and, per usual, I have tried several of my picks (call this market research). Enjoy!
Furry: Fur is the best part of cold weather dressing! I love the furry adornment of hoods, boots, and accessories this time of year (have you seen furry purses??). And, with this cold weather boot, fashion meets function providing not only a chic statement, but also insulation to the durable, rubber sole.
Blondo ‘Sasha’ Waterproof Boot
Classic: Sorel’s traditional designs have long been synonymous with cold-weather boots. In particular, I love the black and rich brown combo, and the houndstooth texture detailing that make these boots extremely versatile – they’re easy to wear both over a pair of skinny jeans around town or under your snowboarding pants after a day on the slopes.
Sporty: The classic, preppy design of these Sperry waterproof boots is a tried and true winter favorite. I especially love the colorful, quilted uppers combined with the quintessential leather laces. Also, the colorful boots pictured above are a Sperry for J.Crew collaboration.
Sperry Top-Sider Saltwater Boots
Minimalist: Not bulky or extravagantly furry, these simple boots could almost pass for a casual, black bootie. And comfort is king, as you would expect from these UGG boots lined in their signature wool.
Chic: With a 3″ wedge heel, these boots are for the fashionista snow bunny (and those comfortable navigating ice and snow conditions in a heel!). These definitely make a statement aprés ski yet are cool enough to wear when navigating an urban winter wonderland!
