This weekend I went shopping with a friend who resides in a Zara-free city. We had a ball; focusing on finding her some appropriately distressed jeans and unique accessories. I scored an awesome pair of booties, in a style that I have been eying, and a fringed bag (I am the number one consumer of this blog!). I exercised great constraint, considering that the store was packed with new spring goodies.
Buckled Ankle Booties | Fringed Leather Bag
I returned to the store on Monday morning (an ideal time to shop a usually busy store) to simply exchange the bag…and alone I fell into the dressing room with an arm-load of loot. This is what I was trying (and may have gone home with):
Anchor Earrings | Striped Sweater | Embroidered Blouse | Double Breasted Coat | Flared Jeans
Breathe a sigh of relief if you must because flared jeans are hot for spring! Likewise, both the embroidery and nautical stripes just beg for warmer temps and sunny days. I know I’ll get a lot of wear out of the coat, as sunny spring days can still be cool (and wet here in the Pacific Northwest). And, with it’s neutral color and A-line shape, it compliments all of my spring pieces when I don’t want to reach for my standard blacks and greys of my winter coat collection. Finally, the anchor earrings are so on trend (the half moon sits snuggly below your ear lobe) – a fun accessory update that, at $19, doesn’t break the bank.
Thanks for reading! And…happy shopping! ~Jenn
